The competition run by Outline magazine & Access to Music included entries from all genres, from DJ’s across the region of East Anglia from Norfolk, Suffolk & Cambridgeshire.
Final judges featured the DNB Icon Goldie and the Legendary Danny Rampling best known for his shows on BBC radio one!
Following the award, I played for the two main nights in Norwich at the time, Rumble & Bounce. Highlights included playing a set on new years eve at the Norwich sports village and getting a chance to play on Dillinja’s Valve Soundsystem,.
I also played in Club Massive, Newmarket warming up for the legendary Mickey Finn alongside DJ Surreal. Another notable DJ set included a slot at an iconic venue in London, Camden Palace for MC MC’s leaving event, performing alongside DJ’s Adam F & J Majik.
2006 I defended my title at Battle of the DJ’s which took place over several heats at Club Mission, on the east coast. I won the best DNB DJ category. Throughout my career as a DJ I have worked with some of the best DJ’s in the scene including: DJ Hype, DJ Bailey, Bladerunner & Rat Pack also working with well established names such as Ray Keith, MC Fearless, DJ Rap & Missrepresent.
2007 – I had my debut single released on DJ Deadly P’s label Deadly Records with tracks Up Yours/No Mercy [DEAD012] on the 15th Oct.
2008 – following the 1st single the 4 track Cybernetic Orgasms EP [DEAD014] was released on Deadly Recs. also a single was released on Nu Urban Artists, tracks – Zomp Stomp/Dancehall Slayer [NUA001]
2009 – I set up my own imprint Vengeance Recordings and released 001 on record which featured remixes by Bladerunner and Nightwalker, this was followed by solo singles Vengeance 002 & 003. I continue to release tracks digitally.
Notable release Siren’s Calling Ft. Essense featured on Ray Keith’s Dub Dread 5 cd under my alias Excalibur. I have also had releases on labels such as Sliced Note Recs, Urban Veteran & Foundation. Highlight, my remix of the classic 2 degrees by TNT played on BBC 1xtra by DJ Chrissy Chris
I still DJ and I have featured on many radio platforms including Style, Kool & Origin. (Radio shows) Now I’m mainly focused on music production, running the Vengeance Recordings, Cutting Edge Soundz & Huslin’ Beats record labels.
